2024 Schedule Release

A glance at a new season for the Redbirds…

The Redbirds have 20 games chalked up for the new season. This schedule includes more non-region games after the folding of two Region 13c teams, the Ruthton Royals and Mountain Lake Lakers. These opponents follow the dismantling of another league opponent, the Adrian A’s, who folded before the 2023 season.

An exciting season lies ahead for this Luverne team after their first state tournament win since 2020. The club will be welcoming back their 5 college players as they return for the summer. A former Redbird, Connor Crabtree, is also returning to the birds after moving back home.

Join the Redbirds in thanking our educators on May 24th. This includes half-priced concessions for current and retired teachers.

Some highlights in the schedule include a Friday-Saturday away series on June 22-23 against the Litchfield Blues and 2023 class “C” state tournament runner-up, the Bird Island Bullfrogs.

Another exciting matchup to watch will be on Monday, July 8th when the Redbirds will be traveling to Brookings SD to face a state tournament semi-finalist in the Cubs. The Redbirds are looking to stay hot against the Cubs after besting them in the 2023 season.

On the final leg of the regular season, the reigning South Dakota class “A” champion, the Sioux Falls Brewers, will be traveling to Redbird Field on Friday, July 12th for an exhibition matchup. Also on that day, the Luverne Baseball Association will be hosting their annual raffle.
